Two golden retrievers playing tug in the garden

A home from home

Dogs staying with me are part of my family life. They’ll be indoors with my family, with garden time, walks, sofa cuddles and plenty of company throughout the day. I keep numbers small so each dog gets the attention they need and can settle into a relaxed, home-from-home routine.

My home

I share my home in Douglas with my husband, our two children, our two older rescue cats and Méabh, my very friendly cream Golden Retriever.

Méabh loves having other dogs around and is used to dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages. My cats have their own space upstairs behind a stairgate, so dogs staying with me don’t have access to them.

Because this is my family home, it’s best suited to dogs who are comfortable around children and other friendly dogs. I always have a chat with owners beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit.
